Oxygen ConservationExpected closing date: Monday, 2 November 2026
We recommend applying to open roles as soon as you are able. Employers may close applications early, so don't miss out.
Key Takeaways
- An internship role within the Oxygen Intelligence team, focusing on converting satellite, drone, and field-based survey data.
- The role involves classifying LiDAR data, analysing remote sensing data, and building visualisations.
- This is a full-time internship with a closing date of 02/11/2026.
- The company is focused on environmental restoration and uses data to inform decisions.
About the Role
As our Data Intern you’ll work within our Oxygen Intelligence team, converting satellite, drone, and field-based survey data into a clear picture of what is genuinely happening on the ground. You’ll classify LiDAR data to quantify change across the portfolio, building the evidence that sits behind our Intelligent Carbon and Intelligent Estates models. That work then goes in front of the people making investment, restoration and management decisions: our estate teams, our Capital team and our investors. What you produce will be seen well beyond the team that builds it.
About You
Environment
- A love for the natural world and rural environment, and a commitment to its ecological restoration.
- Passionate about helping remote sensing data have a positive impact on environmental restoration.
- Fascinated by how environmental data informs environmental decisions.
Impact
- Excellent with data (Python, Cloud Compare, ArcGIS) and want to get even better.
- Strong attention to detail with great visualisation skills. You can tell the difference between a chart that is technically correct and one that tells a story.
- Rigorous and questioning, checking that a signal is real before you put it in front of someone.
- Comfortable with large data sets and challenging their integrity.
Adventure
- Excited to visit the estates and ground-truth what the data claims.
- Keen to work with emerging tools, including AI, and to help shape how we use them.
Together
- A clear communicator with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- A great listener who collaborates closely with colleagues to understand what they really need, and who is open to giving and receiving feedback.
- And let’s be honest, you have to be really kind too. Sharing snacks on long journeys or a packed lunch in the driving rain is mandatory!
We believe in recruiting exceptional people and creating opportunities that allow you to do incredible things. You don’t need to tick every box above, and you don’t need to look or sound a certain way to belong here. We are committed to building a genuinely diverse team, with a wide range of lived and learnt experiences. It doesn’t matter what point in your career you are at, what school you went to, or whether you have a degree or not. We want exceptional people with a desire to make a difference.
