Training Contract
This application is for our Birmingham office, for a Direct Training Contract (no Summer Vacation Scheme).
We are currently recruiting for training contracts to commence in March 2029, September 2029 and March 2030.
Application Routes
You can apply for a training contract by either:
- Applying for a summer vacation scheme 2027 (you will automatically be considered for a training contract during the scheme).
- Completing this direct application.
We recruit the majority of our trainees via the summer vacation scheme route, so if you are able to, we would recommend you apply via that route.
Eligibility
In order to apply for either route, you must be a:
- Penultimate or final year law undergraduate.
- Final year non-law undergraduate.
- Graduate.
Important Note: You may only submit one application for either a summer vacation scheme in 2027 or a direct training contract. You will not be able to proceed if you select both.
About AI and Your Application
We understand that the use of AI in the legal sector is ever-evolving. Trowers & Hamlins has an Innovation and Legal Technology team constantly exploring how AI can benefit our lawyers, alongside responsible governance. We are utilising AI in a measured and secure way.
The purpose of this application form is to understand more about you and what draws you to the firm – the personal elements that AI cannot replicate. While we do not prohibit responsible use of AI in preparing your application, we ask you to remember that AI may provide similar suggested responses to everyone who asks the same questions. We are more interested in original and authentic content than applications that all say the same thing. Use this form to showcase your unique talents, personal experiences, qualities, and skills.
Responsible use of AI does not mean overreliance or copying and pasting answers, which would inhibit your ability to show your unique and diverse characteristics.
