Trainee Optical Assistant

As a Trainee Optical Assistant, you don’t need to have previous experience. You will be prepared to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team, making sure every patient receives the best care in our stores. Full training and support will be offered for this role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work towards qualifications and develop specialist knowledge, and also allow different career opportunities within optics. This is a rewarding role where the work you do will help make a genuine difference in our patients day-to-day life.

Store Information

Based in Galashiels, a friendly and welcoming store in the beautiful Scottish Borders, with fantastic facilities and accessible by road or public transport.

• Salary: Up to £12.91 per hour (pay progression with experience and responsibilities)

• Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week over 4 days, to include weekend working. After the probationary period, there will be the opportunity to work alternate weekends (with the exception of holiday cover).
