Trainee Bus Driver

No experience driving a bus? No problem! Stagecoach will pay you to train, cover the cost of your PCV licence, and equip you with everything you need to succeed.

What you'll be doing

• Completing industry-leading training to secure your PCV licence, followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development.
• Driving a fleet safely, smoothly, and with confidence.
• Ensuring every customer has a great journey.
• Delivering top-notch customer service, helping people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Creating a welcoming environment where customers feel respected, cared for, and looked after.
• Working flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

What you need to apply

• Be 18 years old.
• Hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Right to work in the UK (minimum 183 days in the UK as per DVLA requirement).
• A patient, safe, and courteous approach to driving.
• A positive, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service.
• A willingness to learn and be part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

• Training Pay: £13.45 per hour (training lasts 6-8 weeks).
• Qualified Pay: £14.72 per hour for the first 12 months, rising to £16.22 per hour.
• Overtime Rate: £19.00 per hour.
• Annual Earnings: Approximately £32,148 based on 42 hours per week as a qualified driver.

About the Depot

• Based at Aberhill depot, Methil, Fife.
• Operates a fleet of 77 buses covering Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Dundee.
• Team of 160 Drivers.
