Trainee Bus Driver

What You'll Do

• Transport customers within the community, connecting them to work, shops, and school.
• Build relationships with regular passengers and provide excellent customer service.

Pay Rate

• Training Rate (4-6 weeks): £13.45 per hour
• During Mentoring:
  • Monday - Friday: £13.55 per hour (£14.05 after 6pm)
  • Saturday: £14.55 per hour
  • Sunday & Bank Holiday: £15.55 per hour
• After Training and Mentoring:
  • Monday - Friday: £15.05 per hour (£15.55 after 6pm)
  • Saturday: £16.05 per hour
  • Sunday: £17.05 per hour
  • Bank Holiday: £33.86 per hour

Hours of Work

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned 6-8 weeks in advance.
• Shifts include mornings (from 04:00), afternoons (from 12:00), and evenings (from 18:00).
• Fixed shifts (early, afternoon, or evening) are not available.
• Overtime is available upon request and subject to availability.

Requirements

• Over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Great people and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts.
