Trainee Bus Driver

Pay Rate

• Weekdays: £13.70 for the first 12 months, £14.00 between 12-24 months service, and then £16.00 per hour.
• Weekends: £14.00 for the first 12 months, £14.30 between 12-24 months service, and then £16.30 per hour.
• Bank Holidays: A £40 bonus is paid per shift.

Hours of Work and Role

• A rotating shift pattern of 5 days in 7, published up to 6-8 weeks in advance.
• Shifts include mornings (starting from 04:00), afternoons (starting from 12:00), and evenings (starting from 18:00) on a rotational basis. Fixed shifts are not available.
• Overtime is available upon request and subject to availability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have held a driving licence for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Must undergo a drug and alcohol test before your assessment.
• Must pass an English comprehension test.
• Excellent people skills.
• Flexibility is required, as shifts can start as early as 4 AM and finish no later than 1 AM.
