About the Role
Mitie is seeking a Trainee Asbestos Consultant to develop the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications to conduct asbestos consultancy services. This includes surveys, supervision of removal contracts, clearance work, and report preparation.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop site experience through shadowing and acting as a second person.
- Gain relevant asbestos qualifications (P402, P403, P404).
- Maintain skill sets on the asbestos skills matrix.
- Develop experience in conducting asbestos surveys, bulk sampling, airborne fibre monitoring, and clearance works.
- Gain experience in high-level consultancy and client advice on managing asbestos.
- Understand and apply current asbestos, health and safety, and CDM regulations.
- Ensure all asbestos-related work complies with company procedures.
- Attend operational team meetings and ensure reports are completed to the required standard and timescales.
- Participate in internal and external audit programmes.
- Compile recommendations and technically review reports.
- Attend training courses as required.
- Undertake any other duties to achieve company objectives.
Qualifications and Training
