About the Role

This role sits within the Technology Strategy Consulting persona, focusing on Technology Strategy & Transformation.

What the Team Does

In Technology Strategy and Transformation (TST), we help clients digitise and modernise their organisations. We work with senior leaders to transform organisations using innovative technologies, shifting from IT as a department to technology as a business partner.

Our teams combine strategic thinking, advisory services, and technology capabilities to create a digital core that drives new processes, improved analytics, and better business performance. We partner with large organisations to help COOs, CFOs, and CIOs achieve goals like improving financial performance, accelerating speed to market, and delivering innovation.

In an era of AI-driven disruption, technology strategy is crucial. Clients need trusted advisers to navigate complexity and turn emerging technologies into sustainable business value.

We aim to create better employee experiences through technology, enabling both individuals and the organisation to thrive, while also making a positive impact on society. We focus on increasing clients' societal impact by transforming their enterprises for sustainability and diversity and inclusion, driving net zero and inclusive working practices.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Placement intern in Technology Strategy and Transformation, you will work on large-scale technology transformations across the full lifecycle from design to implementation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients' business and IT teams to understand problems and needs, transforming them into technical requirements.

  • Learning client engagement strategies to solve complex problems and understanding Deloitte's approach to client needs.
  • Using firm-approved AI tools responsibly to support client delivery.
  • Assessing technology investments to identify opportunities for improving value, agility, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Discovering how technologies underpin business operations and identifying the best technologies for different business areas.

You'll have opportunities to work with experts across numerous fields, gaining insight into how Deloitte works with major global organisations.

Where You'll Work

Deloitte operates a hybrid system, combining office and home working, recognising the importance of face-to-face interaction for development and the need for flexibility. Client-facing roles may require attendance at client sites on certain days, with meetings being a mix of online and in-person. Your final assessment and induction will be in-person.

Workspaces are accessible. If you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with the team. Information on family-friendly, flexible working is available.

  • What technologies organisations currently use and how to transform them to achieve strategic objectives.
  • How to interpret business strategy and objectives, transforming them into requirements and solutions.
