You will have the opportunity to gain experience in one of the following teams:
- Business Tax: Help clients understand and manage complex tax matters across all industries, working on corporate tax affairs and solving intricate challenges.
- Global Employer Services: Assist clients with workforce challenges, focusing on incentives, rewards, and ensuring compliance with international employment tax regulations.
- Payroll and Workforce Management: Deliver, transform, and innovate payroll and workforce management functions. Partner with businesses to solve complex challenges related to employee payment, including payroll strategy, compliance, technology implementation, and project management.
What You'll Do
As part of our student programme within Tax Consulting, you will work on the tax affairs of diverse companies across various sectors. Our clients range from large multinational groups and public sector bodies to charities and high-net-worth private clients.
Your role will involve a blend of reporting and advisory work. You might research and write about tax-related topics, contribute to pricing strategies, or assist with deals. The varied nature of the work could see you advising on mobility programmes or liaising with tax authorities. International collaboration with clients and colleagues is common.
Where You'll Work
Deloitte operates a hybrid working model, combining office-based work with remote working to support your development and provide flexibility. Client-facing roles may require attendance at client sites. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person.
Our workspaces are accessible. If you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with the team.
How You'll Develop
We aim to provide you with world-class practical experience alongside the technical knowledge gained from professional qualifications. You will be immersed in client work, collaborate with team members, and develop practical skills for a successful career. This will be supported by internal training and guidance from coaches, people leaders, and your team.
We will support your development with professional qualifications relevant to your role, which may include pathways such as Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), alongside specialist routes.
