  • Professional qualification support available, including ATT, ACA, ICAS, or CTA.
  • Hybrid working model combining office and home-based work.

About the Role

Our Tax Consulting business provides companies with tax advisory and compliance services, as well as transaction advice. We help our clients make the right decisions on all aspects of their tax with regards to their investments.

You’ll have the opportunity to work within one of the following teams:

  • Business Tax: Help clients understand and manage complex tax matters across all industries, on every aspect of their corporate tax affairs.
  • Global Employer Services: Assist clients with workforce challenges, looking at incentives and rewards, and ensuring compliance with international employment tax regulations.

What You'll Do

Join our student programme within Tax Consulting and get to work on the tax affairs of many companies across a range of industry sectors. You will work with large and influential businesses, from tech start-ups to public sector bodies, FTSE 100 and Global 2000 multinational groups, charities, and high net worth private clients.

Your role will involve a mix of reporting and advisory work. You could be researching and writing about tax-related topics, or getting involved in pricing or deals. You may be advising the manager of a mobility programme or helping a business deal with tax authorities. Clients and colleagues may work overseas.

Where You'll Work

We operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events.

Development and Qualifications

We want our people to have world-class practical experience coupled with the technical rigour and knowledge that comes from the right professional qualification. You will be immersed in client work, learning practical skills that will set you up for a successful career.

We will support your development with a professional qualification. Potential pathways include Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), as well as other specialist routes.

Application Process

  • This programme is for university students in their penultimate year of study (or going onto a Masters) on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline.
  • We operate a strict one application per year policy across our Early Careers opportunities.
  • We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. If you are on a student visa and require Skilled Worker sponsorship after graduation, we cannot accept your application as the salary for the Graduate conversion role does not meet the minimum threshold. Please apply for a Summer Vacation Scheme in London, Aberdeen, Bristol, Cambridge, Reading, Gatwick or Southampton where available, as these locations' Graduate conversion roles meet the threshold and can sponsor Skilled Worker visas.
  • You can only join our Summer Vacation Scheme if our dates coincide with your university summer vacation.

Application Deadline

The closing deadline for this role is 23 rd October 2026. We recommend applying as soon as possible as some roles may close before the deadline if we experience high demand.
