Software Development Placement Programme

This is a 13-month Industrial Placement Programme for an undergraduate to join the dynamic Solution Center team as a Software Developer and Programmer. The Solution Center team is responsible for showcasing offerings and driving innovation.

What you'll do

As part of the 13-month industrial placement programme as a software developer, you will have the opportunity to:

• Create showcases to bring to life global strategic investments.
• Assist in ideation sessions with live prototyping.
• Be responsible for creating demonstrations and Proof of Concepts.
• Provide innovation consultancy across the business and for customers.
• Have hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment which will provide an opportunity to learn and work on innovative solutions for customers.
• Research and suggest new innovative technologies and methods to solve project requirements.

What you'll need

As well as a strong interest in IT and software you need to:

• Be studying at undergraduate level in your 2nd year of university for a Computer Science focussed degree.
• Demonstrate a willingness to work with any development platform, including Microsoft suite (eg Azure, Power products), backend development (e.g. NodeJS), automation/scripting (eg Python), web development, and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Terraform).
• Have the ability and drive to pick up new languages or techniques as needed.
• Display confidence in bringing own ideas into any task and being a self-starter.
• Show a strong work ethic in a dynamic customer-facing environment.
• Work autonomously and independently where required.
