About the Role

About the Team

When banks face financial difficulties, it can impact millions of individuals, families, and businesses. Our Resolution & Recovery team works to prevent these issues and intervenes when they occur.

We collaborate with banks and other financial services organizations to ensure their stability and resilience. This involves creating robust plans for challenging scenarios or guiding organizations through recovery to get back on track.

Our team is Deloitte's global center of excellence for this specialized work. We partner with colleagues across the firm to address our clients' most significant challenges.

Our clients span various sizes and types of financial institutions, including large banks, insurers, investment managers, and emerging fintech and payment firms. Each client is unique, offering continuous learning opportunities.

As a graduate, you will play a key role in supporting our extensive client coverage, with significant responsibilities and early exposure to different companies in your career.

What You Will Do

In this team, you will gain significant exposure to senior leadership and work alongside renowned industry experts. You will also have the chance to contribute to business development, participate in client projects, present your analyses, and build in-depth sector knowledge.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Contributing to marketing and business development opportunities to understand client strategic needs and our bespoke solutions.
  • Supporting the development of Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRP), working closely with stakeholders to help clients embed RRP initiatives into their business as usual operations.
  • Assisting clients through periods of uncertainty during financial, operational, and/or regulatory stress. Our team provides solutions to protect key stakeholders and establish a path to recovery or a structured exit.
  • As the global center of excellence for resolution, you will engage with UK and European regulators, global resolution authorities, and firms worldwide to help protect the financial stability of the financial services sector.

Where You Will Work

Deloitte recognizes the importance of face-to-face interaction for development in a new role and offers flexibility through a hybrid working model (office and home). Client-facing roles may require office or client site attendance on certain days, with a mix of online and in-person meetings. Final assessments and induction will be in-person for networking and relationship building.

Our workspaces are accessible. If you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with the team. Information on parent and carer policies is available.

How You Will Develop

As a Graduate in Resolution and Recovery, you will participate in the M&A rotational programme and complete the ACA qualification via an accelerated route.

This role is part of a three-year M&A rotation graduate scheme. You will start in Resolution & Recovery (your home offering area) and undertake two further rotations within different M&A offering areas. This structured approach will build your understanding of the M&A business, develop key skills, and foster cross-team networking. You will return to your home offering area at the end of the programme.

You will begin with a comprehensive induction program to equip you with the necessary skills and confidence. Ongoing professional development will be provided through your project team, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
