This is an 18-month development programme where you will earn, learn, and launch your career. You will gain real experience, work towards a recognised qualification, and build skills that will shape your future.
The Product Governance team reviews insurance products throughout their life cycle to ensure they meet customer needs and provide fair value. This strategic role involves analysing product performance using data such as claims, customer feedback, and complaints to identify risks and suggest improvements. You will also learn how Howden meets Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
What you’ll be doing?
- Begin with a structured induction before joining the Product Governance team.
- Build knowledge of insurance products and relevant regulations.
- Learn how insurance products move through their life cycle.
- Support reviews to ensure products meet customer needs and offer fair value.
- Review information including claims data, customer survey results, satisfaction measures, and complaints.
- Compare product performance and customer outcomes against regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across broking, claims, insurers, risk, compliance, and other business areas.
Who are we looking for?
No insurance experience is needed. You will be:
- Curious and keen to understand insurance products and their impact on customers.
- Comfortable working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets (training will be provided).
- Analytical and logical, with an interest in spotting patterns in data.
- Confident in building relationships and working with diverse teams.
- Organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Adaptable and resilient in a fast-moving environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
- Lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
- Achieved a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
- Do not already hold a qualification that significantly overlaps with this apprenticeship.
