About the Role
This is a 12-month industrial placement in Procurement at Caterpillar's Stafford facility.
What You'll Do
You will gain experience in various aspects of procurement, including:
- Facility Supply: Supporting supply chain and quality departments to improve supplier performance.
- Product Supply: Supporting New Product Introduction programmes.
- Category Purchasing: Managing supplier relationships and performance for engine component suppliers across multiple Caterpillar facilities.
- Cost Centre of Excellence: Developing data analytics to support optimised product cost.
You will work closely with global procurement teams, engage with UK suppliers, and contribute to strategic projects, potentially managing NPI programmes or supplier accounts.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are highly participative, thrive in a team environment, and possess strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
You should be on track to achieve a 2:2 degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or an Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Automotive, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical).

- Working Pattern: Full time, onsite five days a week.
- Eligibility: Must be in your penultimate year of study (unless enrolled in an integrated master’s program) to be eligible for a 12-month placement starting July 2027.
