About the Role

About the Placement Year

Our placement years are designed to give you first-hand experience of working in a law firm, allowing you to develop your knowledge and skills while contributing to real legal work. This experience will help you build valuable professional skills that will support your future career.

For 9-12 months, you'll work within one of our legal teams in an administrative/paralegal role. You'll receive direct supervision, take part in learning and development sessions, build your network across the firm and have the opportunity to get involved in our ESG initiatives if these are of interest to you.

The placement is non-rotational, giving you the opportunity to gain in-depth experience within a specific area of the business and develop strong legal knowledge and skills. You'll be supported by senior lawyers within your team, as well as a trainee buddy who can provide day-to-day guidance throughout your placement.

Placement year opportunities are available in our Bristol and Exeter offices. During the later stages of the recruitment process, you'll be able to indicate both your preferred office location.

Learning and Development

Throughout your placement, you'll have the opportunity to attend a range of learning and development sessions alongside colleagues from across the firm. These sessions will help you build your professional skills, broaden your understanding of the legal sector and gain valuable insight into different areas of the business.
