If offered a training contract after the placement scheme, your two-year contract will consist of four six-month seats in the following areas:

  • Corporate & Commercial
  • Disputes
  • Finance & Projects
  • Real Estate

You will receive tailored training, gain insight into life at the firm, and be supported by colleagues while undertaking meaningful work. The firm encourages curiosity, a willingness to learn, and building connections and skills to become a trusted lawyer.

International Applicants and Sponsorship

Addleshaw Goddard welcomes applications from all locations and does not base recruitment decisions on current location or immigration status. However, this Manchester Placement Scheme/Training Contract role does not currently meet the Home Office requirements for a Skilled Worker visa, and sponsorship may not be available at the point of hire. If sponsorship is not possible, and you have received funded further education studies from Addleshaw Goddard (e.g., PGDL, Diploma, SQE course, maintenance fees, interest-free loan), you will be required to repay the full amount. For specific queries, contact earlycareers@addleshawgoddard.com. Independent immigration advice is recommended if you do not have the right to work in the UK.
