About the Role

On our People Graduate Programme, you’ll help shape the employee experience and support the development of an inclusive organisation that delivers value for consumers, markets, and the broader economy.

Through a range of rotational placements across the People function, you'll gain broad exposure to different areas of people practice, developing the skills, experience and confidence to make a meaningful contribution from the start of your career.

You'll work on impactful projects across areas such as talent acquisition, policy, learning and development, employee relations, reward, diversity and inclusion, workforce planning and people strategy. Throughout the experience, you’ll learn how thoughtful people practices contribute to organisational performance and create a positive environment for colleagues.

As you progress through the programme, you'll develop core professional skills including judgement, communication, stakeholder management, collaboration and delivery. You’ll also build experience in analysing people data, solving business challenges and designing people-focused solutions that improve colleague experience and organisational effectiveness.

Your first two rotations will be set before you start, providing you with a solid foundation and a broad understanding of the FCA’s People function. For your final rotation, we’ll consider your interests, capabilities, and career goals, along with business needs, to help you explore a path that supports your long-term growth.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have built a well-developed professional network, gained experience across multiple people disciplines and developed the skills needed to launch a rewarding career as a People professional.

Learning & Development

Our two-year programme is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to thrive in a changing environment. Drawing on the FCA’s values of self-sufficiency, motivation, engagement, and integrity, the programme supports you in building personal effectiveness, advancing your career skills, and adding value to the work you do.

You’ll benefit from:

  • Formal learning aligned to your development goals
  • Bespoke induction and training
  • Networking opportunities
  • Social events with your graduate cohort
  • Opportunities to hear from senior speakers across the business
