About the Role

As a Marketing Intern, you'll spend a year gaining hands-on experience and working on meaningful projects that contribute to real business outcomes. From day one, you'll be part of the team, tackling genuine challenges and building valuable technical and professional skills. It's an opportunity to put your learning into practice, develop future-ready skills and gain insight into where a career in Marketing could take you.

Why Marketing?

From understanding customer needs to shaping innovative products and services, Marketing gives you the opportunity to see how we attract, engage and retain customers in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

During your Year in Industry, you’ll gain hands-on experience in an area such as marketing, customer insight, analytics, product management, sustainability or innovation. You’ll contribute to real work and projects, developing practical skills in areas such as customer research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and creative problem-solving. It’s an opportunity to build your commercial awareness, put your university learning into practice and discover where a future career in Marketing could take you.

Support to help you thrive

We're looking for potential, not perfection. You'll be supported every step of the way through structured development opportunities, experienced mentors and line managers, dedicated graduate learning, buddy support and a network of graduates from across the business.

With offices across the UK and a hybrid approach to working, flexibility is an important part of our graduate and intern programmes. You’ll need to be open to travel when required and, for some placements, relocation, giving you the opportunity to experience different teams, locations and parts of our business.

What we need from you:

  • Expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Masters)
  • Have the right to work in the UK, prior to commencing work
  • Curious, proactive and keen to learn
  • Willingness to travel and relocate where required
  • Available to start in June 2027

What's in it for you:

  • Annual Salary of £24,539.00
  • 12-months hands-on experience working in a dedicated area of the Marketing Team
  • Structured support and development throughout your placement
  • Opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and build your network
  • The chance to make a meaningful contribution while developing skills that will support your future career
