About the Scheme

NFU Mutual has grown from its farming roots into a major UK-wide insurance and financial services organisation. This scheme focuses on corporate leadership, strategy, and business growth, with exposure to commercial and high-net-worth insurance.

You will join one of our regional teams, working closely with local NFU Mutual branches to help businesses grow, build strong customer relationships, and deliver a personal service. You will learn how trusted relationships contribute to NFU Mutual's success.

This is a three-year programme designed to help you build your core insurance skills and work towards CII qualifications. You will be supported by experienced colleagues, a dedicated buddy, and a mentor.

What to Expect

• You will join our national graduate group and meet regularly at our Head Office in Stratford-upon-Avon for shared training and development.
• You will work on regional projects and placements linked to your area.
• Structured plan for career development with performance reviews twice a year.
• The scheme focuses on corporate leadership, strategy, and business growth.
• You will gain first-hand experience of how we build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.
• Opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities, including volunteering and organising events.

What We're Looking For

• Achieved, or on track for, at least a 2:2 degree in any subject.

• A full UK driving licence is required.

Industry experience or a placement year would be an advantage but is not essential. Work experience where you've interacted with people, built communication skills, and learned to work with others is valued.

Travel Requirements

• Expect to spend three to four days a week travelling across your region, dividing your time between NFU Mutual agencies, regional offices, and our Head Office in Stratford-upon-Avon.
• Your remaining time will usually be spent working from home.

Application Process

If your application is shortlisted, there are three stages:

1. Online assessment: To help us understand how you learn and solve problems.
2. Video interview: A short interview to learn more about you.
3. Assessment centre: An in-person day with activities such as a group exercise, a role-specific task, and a skills-based interview.

Assessment centres will be held in our Regional offices or locations:

• North East Scheme - Tuesday 1st December 2026 in York
• South East/London Scheme - Wednesday 2nd December 2026 in London
• South West Scheme - Monday 7th December 2026 in Bristol
• East & Midlands Scheme - Tuesday 8th December 2026 in Stratford Upon Avon.
