Engineering Reliability Industrial Placement

This is a 12-month full-time placement programme starting in July 2027, offering the chance to make an impact on some of the world's biggest brands within PepsiCo's Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities

In this placement, you will:

• Support the Leicester Engineering Reliability team in delivering site-wide improvements to asset reliability through condition-based monitoring and data analysis.
• Review asset performance and Mean Time to Failure data to identify priority areas for engineering improvement.
• Design and deliver small-scale repair and maintenance projects alongside in-house engineering teams to improve site processes and equipment performance.
• Use CAD systems to support the design and manufacture of solutions that meet site requirements.
• Develop practical knowledge of asset life cycle management and condition-based monitoring technologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Apply project management skills to plan, coordinate and deliver reliability improvement initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and original equipment manufacturers to support project delivery.
• Develop robust solutions to defined engineering challenges, balancing operational, sustainability and pep+ priorities.
• Work on real-life objectives and are expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

• Students currently in their penultimate year of university studies, with a course that includes the option of completing a sandwich placement before returning to study.
• Students following a path to a degree in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related disciplines.
• Students with the full Right to Work for the duration of the placement (July 2027-July 2028).

• Salary: £26,600 per year.
• Duration: 12 months, full-time.
