Role Description
This is a four-year Electronics Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme. You will study with an academic partner for a Level 6 Bachelor Honours Degree (BEng) through a mixture of work-based learning and university attendance. This apprenticeship aligns with the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) at Incorporated Engineering (IEng) and Embedded Electronics & System Design standards (ST0151).
You will be working within world-class facilities and may have opportunities to travel between UK sites to meet colleagues, customers, and suppliers. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative, and a drive to find engineering solutions.

This apprenticeship is for individuals with little professional engineering experience. It is not suitable for candidates who already have an engineering degree. We are looking for individuals who:

Qualifications Required
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 x A Levels (A*- C), with one in English, Maths, or a technical related subject.
- OR An alternative Level 3 qualification in an engineering or ICT related subject.
- GCSE (Grade 4 - 9 / A*- C) in Maths and English.
Security Clearance
Many roles at Leonardo are subject to security and export control restrictions. Successful applicants will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, criminal record declaration information, and employment/education history verification for the previous five years. Additional vetting may apply for more sensitive posts, which may require continuous residency in the UK for five or ten years.
