Join MBDA’s Digital Excellence Technical Undergraduate Placement and develop your knowledge in digital capabilities that support MBDA from data & AI, cyber security, infrastructure, enterprise technology and business applications.
Digital Excellence brings together the Information Technology and Information Systems capabilities that underpin MBDA’s digital environment from protecting our organisation and connecting our people, to designing enterprise solutions and developing AI & data that can transform the way we work.
What You'll Do
During your one-year placement, you will join one of our Digital Excellence teams, with your placement area determined by business priorities and opportunities available at the time. This could include: Cyber, Digital Factory & Business Applications, Workplace Services, Infrastructure & Networks, Enterprise Architecture & AI & Data.
Whichever area you join, you will work alongside experienced specialists and contribute to real projects and business challenges. Depending on your placement, you could be designing digital solutions, analysing data, exploring emerging technologies, supporting enterprise platforms, strengthening our digital foundations or helping shape how technology is used across MBDA.
With support from experienced colleagues, you could develop skills in:
- Applying technology to solve complex problems
- Contributing to secure, scalable digital solutions
- Understanding enterprise technology and architecture
- Working with AI, data and emerging technologies

What We're Looking For
- Current undergraduate working towards a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
