About the Role

About the Team

Our global Human Capital practice focuses on unlocking human potential for individuals, organisations, and society. We bridge the gap between human experience and technological advancement, creating the conditions for successful transformation and empowering people to thrive.

Within our Technology & Transformation business, Human Capital operates across four core teams: HR Strategy & Transformation, Organisation & Workforce Transformation, Major Programmes, and Actuarial, Insurance & Banking. This role will place you in one of the first three areas.

HR Strategy & Transformation (Advisory)

This team drives major shifts in HR mindset, roles, capabilities, and digital enablers. We provide end-to-end solutions for HR strategy, design, implementation, and operations. Working across public, financial, and private sectors, we focus on employee experience and people-focused technology, including AI and generative AI, to transform HR functions and deliver exceptional employee experiences.

Organisation & Workforce Transformation

We help organisations across all sectors align their operating model, structure, talent, leadership, and culture with business strategies that address external forces like sustainability and emerging technologies. Our goal is to deliver and sustain true transformation, making work better for people.

Major Programmes

This team specialises in the design, mobilisation, delivery, and recovery of high-investment, high-impact transformation and infrastructure programmes. We leverage Deloitte's expertise to address clients' most challenging initiatives, keeping people at the centre.

What You'll Do

You will work in a client-facing role as part of a team of Deloitte Human Capital consultants, helping clients solve complex problems. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working with clients to understand their requirements and shape innovative solutions, potentially supporting workshops to structure thinking and build shared understanding of challenges.
  • Conducting research and analysis to draw out insights and communicate recommendations effectively. For example, presenting findings from a digital asset assessment and identifying training needs.
  • Assisting in the preparation of clear, visually engaging documents and presentations for clients.

Development and Support

We are committed to supporting your growth both internally and with our clients. You will have access to learning and development in consulting skills, ways of working, tools, and methodologies through on-the-job experience, training, and team activities.

As a Summer Vacation Scheme Student, you can expect:

  • Dedicated support from the Technology & Transformation Summer Vacation Scheme team, including organised activities to connect with fellow students.
  • An induction programme covering the firm, our culture, and how we work, followed by Technology & Transformation-specific activities.
  • To work on real client projects alongside colleagues of varying seniority.
  • A support network including a buddy, People Leader, and project mentor.
  • Access to practical resources, such as the Summer Vacation Scheme Student Handbook.

Buddies, who are previous SVS students, will provide informal support and guidance throughout your time at Deloitte.

Benefits and Perks

We foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, supporting your unique talents and perspectives. We offer a wide range of initiatives, including diversity networks and wellbeing support.

Location

We operate a hybrid system, combining office and home working, recognising the importance of face-to-face interaction for development. Client-facing roles may require attendance at client sites. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person. Your final assessment and induction will be in-person.

Application Deadlines

The closing deadline for this role is 23rd October 2026. We recommend applying as soon as possible, as some roles may close early due to high demand.

Visa Sponsorship

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. However, you can apply if you hold a Student Visa valid for the duration of the scheme. You can only join if our dates coincide with your university summer vacation.
