About the Role
About Audit at BDO
Audit at BDO offers the chance to undertake meaningful work early in your career. As the UK's mid-market leader with over £1bn in turnover and 8,000 employees, BDO provides the scale and breadth of a major professional services firm, while allowing you to work with clients where your contribution is significant.
Our Audit teams specialise in areas such as Pension Audit, Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, and Technology Risk Assurance, delivering high-quality audits that stakeholders can trust.
You will be entrusted with considerable responsibility, but will receive ample support from experienced colleagues, managers, directors, and partners who are available to answer questions, share knowledge, and aid your development.
This is an opportunity to learn through practical experience, gain client exposure, and build confidence as your responsibilities grow. You will have the backing of BDO's scale and dedicated personal support.
About the Programme
This three-year programme will allow you to build hands-on experience while working towards the recognised professional qualification, the ACA.
In addition to your studies, you will develop technical and commercial skills through real Audit work. You may gain experience across various clients, sectors, and specialist areas, learning from professionals across the organisation.
As you progress, your responsibilities will increase. Graduates have reported joining client calls, leading meetings, and working directly with senior colleagues earlier than anticipated. You will receive support as you advance and work towards your career goals.
Upon successful completion of the programme and passing all exams, you will be fully qualified as an accountant and guaranteed a permanent role with BDO.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who are curious, resilient, and adaptable, eager to learn, ask questions, and take on increasing responsibility.
Your problem-solving, analytical skills, and critical thinking will be put into practice with our support for your continued development.
