About the Role

About Audit

Audit at BDO offers the chance to take on meaningful work early in your career. As the only UK mid-market organisation with more than £1bn in turnover and 8,000 people, you'll experience the scale and breadth of a major professional services business while working with clients where your contribution makes a real difference.

Our Audit teams specialise in areas including Pension Audit, Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, and Technology Risk Assurance, delivering high-quality audits that businesses and stakeholders can trust.

You will be entrusted with significant responsibility, but you will have the support of experienced colleagues, managers, directors, and partners who are available to answer questions, share knowledge, and aid your development.

This is an opportunity to learn by doing, gain client exposure, and build confidence as your responsibilities grow. You'll have BDO's scale behind you and personal support around you.

About the Programme

This three-year programme will allow you to build hands-on experience while working towards a recognised professional qualification, the ACA.

Alongside your studies, you will develop technical and commercial skills through real Audit work. You may gain experience across different clients, sectors, and specialist areas, learning from colleagues across the organisation.

As you develop, so will the responsibility you are entrusted with. Graduates have reported joining client calls, leading meetings, and working directly with senior colleagues earlier than expected. You will receive support as you take these next steps and build towards your career goals.

Upon successful completion of the programme and passing the exams, you will be fully qualified as an accountant and guaranteed a permanent role with BDO.

About You

You should be curious, resilient, and adaptable, ready to learn, ask questions, and take on more responsibility as you grow.

Bring your problem-solving, analytical skills, and critical thinking. BDO will provide opportunities to apply these skills, along with the support for continuous development.

Join us in one of our hubs in Ipswich or Cambridge. You will need to live within a commutable distance of the office you apply to, as relocation support is not provided.
