About the Role

Audit matters to everyone. When a company shares its financial results, people need to know those numbers are accurate. Audit independently checks company financial reports, so the public, investors and businesses can trust what they're seeing. The landscape for audit reporting is changing fast, with increasing use of AI and other technologies. We need to audit AI financial systems and processes too, meaning the scope of the work is always growing. We’re shaping the future of audit.

What You'll Do

As companies share financial and business results, you will check the information is accurate. Using proven testing methods, you will look closely at how these figures are produced. You will learn to spot inaccuracies and ask why.

Through our Early Careers training programme, you'll build professional, technical, and communication tools. You'll work creatively and collaboratively, growing your problem-solving, commercial, digital, and analytical skills. Eventually, you'll help develop others and lead small teams, auditing a huge range of global businesses and organisations.

Our Audit practice has two core groups:

  • Large & Complex Audit: Includes listed companies (corporate and financial services) and their subsidiaries in the UK and internationally, as well as other public interest companies such as banks, insurers, large private companies, and public sector organisations.
  • Portfolio Audit: Spans a wide range of sectors including both emerging and large private corporates, real estate funds, pension schemes, financial services brokers and investment managers. This offers the opportunity to work with privately-owned, dynamic, entrepreneurial and high growth businesses, both in the UK and internationally.

Where You'll Work

Deloitte operates a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. Client-facing roles may require attendance at client sites on certain days. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Your final assessment and induction will be in-person.

Flexibility can be discussed for health conditions or caring responsibilities.

What's In It For You?

You’ll join a world-class training scheme in a full-time permanent role, with a market-leading salary, benefits and a professional qualification that supports your long-term career.

  • Training and Development: Supported to achieve your potential through an outstanding training scheme, an internationally recognised professional qualification, and ongoing investment in your development.
  • Inclusion: Be part of an inclusive culture where different perspectives are valued, learning is shared, and you can build a strong professional network.
  • Purpose: Do work with purpose in a place where you can be yourself, grow professionally and personally, and make an impact that underpins public interest and confidence in financial reporting.

How You'll Develop

Our Early Careers training programme provides foundational knowledge and skills for audits and assurance engagements, complementary to your professional qualification training.

Soft Skills:

Investment in professional development through training courses and on-the-job learning will help you build skills in communication, professional scepticism, decision-making, resilience, project management, and leadership. Qualifications:

You will study towards either the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or the Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS), depending on your location. These globally recognised qualifications will help you build technical knowledge and apply your learning to day-to-day audit work.

Our Early Careers Catalyst audit training pathway is designed to accelerate your qualification training, professional development, and support your wellbeing. It includes dedicated periods for professional qualification learning alongside structured work placements.

You’ll receive funded tuition, paid study leave, and access to a strong support network, including a student support adviser, coach, and a dedicated exam manager. Deloitte will cover the cost of mandated courses, permitted exam attempts, and membership fees.
