About the Role

About the Audit & Assurance Team

Audit & Assurance ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, building trust with the public, investors, and businesses. We independently check company financial reports, assess risks and processes, and provide assurance to help organisations make sound decisions. Our teams possess expertise in regulation, reporting, finance, controls, sustainability, and AI, with a strong understanding of analytics.

Your Role and Development

This is a four-year programme designed to develop future Assurance professionals. You will gain insight into different areas of Assurance, working directly with major organisations and building your skills through comprehensive training.

Areas of Focus:

  • Accounting and Reporting Assurance (ARA): Ensure businesses' financial reporting is accurate and compliant with regulations. You may join teams focused on Regulatory Assurance, Actuarial, Credit, Pricing, or AI labs. This area helps build strong analytical skills and provides insight into how businesses operate.
  • Controls, Sustainability and Emerging Assurance (C&SEA): Review sustainability reporting, client money regulation, and data reporting systems. You could join teams like Algo and AI Assurance, Third Party Assurance, Sustainability Assurance, or Client Assets and Safeguarding.

Working Arrangements

We operate a hybrid working system, combining office and home working. Client-facing roles may require office or client site attendance on certain days. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person. Final assessments and inductions will be in-person to facilitate networking.

Flexibility can be discussed for health conditions or caring responsibilities.

What We Offer

  • A full-time permanent role with a market-leading salary and benefits.
  • A world-class training scheme and an internationally recognised professional qualification.
  • Support to achieve your potential through ongoing development.
  • An inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued.
  • The opportunity to do purposeful work that impacts public interest and confidence in financial reporting.

Qualifications and Training

  • Academic Entry Requirements: At least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for A levels (or equivalent).
  • Professional Qualification: Study towards the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with ICAEW or ICAS.
