Aon is looking for penultimate-year students to join our Strategic Consulting Summer Internship Programme. You will support colleagues in helping clients navigate an evolving market and address complex strategic questions. Your contributions will include research, analysis, and team discussions, developing an understanding of how evidence-based insights inform client recommendations.
Strategy Consulting, part of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group (STG), advises (re)insurers, private equity firms, and other entities interested in the (re)insurance sector. Leveraging Aon’s proprietary data and global network, Strategy Consulting delivers unique insights to senior leaders.
What You Will Do
- Support strategic consulting projects by researching market and client questions, testing hypotheses, and developing evidence-based recommendations.
- Analyze financial and other data to identify patterns and insights, with exposure to benchmarking, regression, and other advanced analytical techniques.
- Contribute to client deliverables such as presentations and reports, and assist with project activity organization and document review.
- Utilize AI-enabled and digital tools for research, analysis, and delivery, refining outputs with business context and human judgment.
Your Development
As an Aon Summer Intern, you will participate in a 9-week award-winning development programme including:
- Induction: Learn about Aon, network with colleagues, and receive technical and business training.
- Aon Business Focused Project: Work in a team of interns on a real business challenge, presenting findings to Aon colleagues.
- Feedback: Receive regular feedback and support from your line manager to discuss goals.
Your Career Beyond Your Summer Internship
This internship is a potential pathway to our graduate programme. Your performance may lead to an offer for the following year. The programme also offers support for professional qualifications, including a Level 4 Diploma in Insurance from the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute).

Aon UK Internship Recruitment: What to Expect
- Application Review: Processed on a rolling basis. CVs and cover letters are not reviewed at this stage.
- Online Assessment: Candidates have 5 calendar days to complete.
- Video Interview: Candidates have up to 10 days to record and submit.
- Assessment Centres: Held in person after Christmas, from mid-January. Candidates receive 7-14 days' notice. Reasonable travel costs are reimbursed.
